About
I could just wrap it all up with 2 words... Shigeru Miyamoto. EAD, basically Nintendo of Japan, has always come up with absolutely ground-breaking titles that trigger many clones. We all know Nintendo... they are the gaming god. EAD is what we simply know as 'Nintendo'. Have a look at all the past titles that Nintendo has released... which of them didn't sell millions? Which of them didn't get huge reputation?Their less 'serious' games, such as MarioKart, were never intended to be blockbusters, nor were they meant to get AAA scores... they were simply meant for fun... and no critic has said these games are poor or are no fun.On the other hand... look at Zelda 64, Mario 64, and their past Metroid series, as well as the old Zelda series, and the Mario series. Millions. Tens of millions copies sold. I tend to think of Nintendo not as a developer, but a team made of golden hands that never disappoint. They are incredible. Period.
Strengths
  • The world's most famous franchises: Mario, Zelda, Yoshi, Metroid, StarFox, Pokemon, you name it.
  • All their games are golden... absolutely incredible games that always achieve amazing gameplay and new ground-breaking innovation.
  • Shigeru Miyamoto. Need I say more?
  • Nintendo delay their games as much as they can if it means perfecturising the game... this may be a bad thing, but not when you get the game after months or years of waiting.
  • Their less serious games are a lot of fun and always contain incredibly fun gameplay.
  • They are well respected by the world's top 3rd Party developers... have you ever heard any 3rd party say - Nintendo doesn't make great games or any of their games aren't that good?
  • All their games sell millions, especially their 'serious' games.
  • They never clone a game. They always come up with innovative ideas.

  • All their games are major hits not only in Japan but also in USA and the outside world.
    Weaknesses
  • They tend to delay games as breakfast... this causes many people to not believe release dates that Nintendo announces.
  • Their games are considered 'kiddy' by many people, mostly the casual gamers and Nintendo critics.People may criticize them for making too many franchise sequels, although they are never the same.
  • When Nintendo makes games aimed towards a younger audience, nay-sayers use that to say 'Nintendo console is for kids'. This will happen with Gamecube, where even if PS2 and NGC have the same amount of mature titles and Nintendo has some kids titles as an ADDITION to that, they'll simply use it to say 'Gamecube is a kids console', simply because Nintendo made some. Which doesn't really make sense. Even the Hyper Magazine here in Australia would do that. They are so anti-Gamecube. For example, over a year before Gamecube's release, they say 'It has a lack of original titles', and nothing about that with PS2.
  • Relationship With Nintendo
Very rocky, EAD will never develop for Nintendo again :P
    Most Recent Titles
    Zelda: Majora's Mask.
    Confirmed NGC Titles
Err... none. But according to common sense, interviews with Miyamoto, general gaming knowledge, speculation from every site, demos at Spaceworld, confirmation from reliable sources, speculation, rumours, and facts, there will be a Mario title (isn't that obvious?), a Zelda title in development, and some type of Pokemon game. It is confirmed that there will be at least 5 EAD Titles at Japanese Launch! Shiggy confirmed that there could even be 6 or 7 at launch. This proves there are up to 7 Nintendo titles being developed.
